Biking around Shirlington Village, VA

While my husband plays tennis at Bluemont Park (Arlington, VA) I ride my bike all the way along 4 Mile Run Trail.   It is peaceful, scenic, clean, safe, and all good adjectives you can think about.

I love this bike trail and I love to arrive at Shirlington Village, park my bike and walk along the beautiful main street.

Beautiful Shirlington Village

Beautiful Shirlington Village

When it’s sunny  I go all way from Bluemont Park (in Arlington)  to the National Airport (Ronald Reagan Airport).  In chilly days I go from Bluemont to Shirlington and back to Bluemont.

This is a really scenic drive if you are visiting the American Capital and want a nice place to ride a bike. I totally recommend it!

Where else can you find clean streets and sidewalks,  no homeless people begging money, no pick pockets, nothing bad?   That’s why I love the USA and specially this region around Washington D.C.
