Fog day in Lenzerheide

After a stressful driving to get to Lenzerheide we had a relaxing night of sleep.

The morning started with light rain and dense fog that didn’t change our mood to get out to explore  the town.

Lenzerheide is a town located in the canton of Graubunden, the most scenic canton in Switzerland (well, in my opinion…).

We tried to go out for a short hiking using my new hiking pools but the dense fog scared the hell out of me… lol …

We returned to the hotel,  sat by the window drinking pure scotch (fortunately we had a bottle of Johnnie Walker Black Label  in our luggage…) while waiting for clear skies.

There we stayed. Sipping our scotch and watching the dense fog…

Lenzerheide-fog-1 As soon as the fog subdued we went out for a nice walk along Heidsee lake.

The Heidsee lake is one of the main attractions in Lenzerheide during summer. There is a nice path along its perimeter, and the lake border has picnic tables, BBQ grills and cute playgrounds.

We didn’t see any frog but it was super cool so see the “watch out for frogs” sign.

Lenzerheide-fog-2Heidsee is not a large lake. It’s very scenic and it’s possible to walk or bike around it on marked trails.

We got a glimpse of Lenzerheide while waiting for sunny days! We plan to  go up on the mountains that surround the town!

Maybe tomorrow?
