Easter Holiday in Beautiful Victoria

Victoria, B.C., Canada

Victoria, British Columbia

We decided to spend the Easter Holiday going to Victoria, B.C.

It was our first time visiting the island and we didn’t know that reservations for the ferry would be highly recommended.  Result?  We stayed almost three hours on the line waiting for the ferry!

We took the ferry at Horseshoe Bay, and from there we crossed to Nanaimo, a village located at Vancouver Island.  Travel time was approximately one hour and forty minutes.

The weather was gorgeous and the ferry is very comfortable with a restaurant, sundeck and small shops.

When we got to Nanaimo it was already dark (pm) and it took us 2 hours to reach Victoria.  The road is absolutely fantastic with plenty of signs and security lights.  We noticed many wineries along the way but we could not see the landscape because it was dark.

We had made reservations for Marriott Inner Harbor Downtown and we were very welcomed by front desk personal.

Our room was beautifully appointed, located on 9th floor.  Marriott has a huge covered garage and a security cage where we stored our bikes.
