Vancouver is a smoke free city! I love it!
Here, smoking is forbidden in parks and beaches. Everyone obeys the law and in cases of disrespect, the fine is CAD 250.00
On the other hand, in Brazil you see people smoking in parks, beaches, schools… as there is no law preventing the population from smoking in public areas. I have seen people smoking in playgrounds while the kids play!
In Brazilian restaurants cigarettes are forbidden when indoors. In cases where the restaurant has a veranda, cigarettes and cigars are usually allowed.
