About us

My name is Cecilia Teixeira. Before moving to Canada in 2012,  I lived in Rio de Janeiro where I worked as an Architect and Interior Designer.

In Rio I had a very successful career, with hundreds of clients and published works on the most prestigious newspapers and magazines.

Tourism has always been my passion, and this explains dozens of trips around the world, visiting more than thirty countries.

In my opinion, Canada is the best place in the world if you are planning “where to go on holidays”: Canada is safe,  beautiful and affordable. On top of that, Canadians are the friendliest people you will find when traveling.

Having a “Vancouver Tourism Specialist” certificate from Tourism Vancouver, we started a small company called “Vancouver by Locals”.

We provide transfers and tailored tours in Vancouver, Whistler, Victoria, Tofino, Okanagan Valley and Canadian Rockies.

Our  guides speak English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

We will help you discover our beautiful city and nearby attractions. We also can help you in trip planning,  giving suggestions of “what to see”, “where to stay”, “when to go”.

Once a week we give a free tour starting at Canada Place. We want to provide the best service, so we like to keep the group small. Please fill out the form and we will return with availability. Thank you.

See you in Vancouver!
