This year I looked for different recipes for Thanksgiving and I am glad I’ve done it. The recipes are great, much better (and easy to cook) than my previous ones.
Pictures will come later. I’m only adding the links here so it will be easier for me to cook my Thanksgiving turkey in 2016.
Brine: It’s called “Out of this World” brine and it’s really out of this world. Excellent! http://allrecipes.com/recipe/85839/out-of-this-world-turkey-brine/
Turkey: The only thing I forgot was to spray oil on the aluminium foil but fortunately it didn’t damage the turkey. Best turkey recipe ever! http://allrecipes.com/recipe/13464/homestyle-turkey-the-michigander-way/
Gravy: Easy Türkei gravy is the best of all: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/77023/easy-turkey-gravy/
Cranberry Sauce: It really pops up in your mouth. It’s impossible to find a better cranberry sauce than this one http://allrecipes.com/recipe/9111/cranberry-sauce/
I also cooked smashed potatoes and “farofa” (farofa” is a Brazilian side dish made with flour. Usually with cassava flower but this one was made with corn flour and was really excellent. I mixed it with onions and 6 eggs. Fortunately, there’s a grocery store selling Brazilian items close to my apartment in Vancouver, so it was easy to ass a Brazilian dish to our Thanksgiving dinner.
Pictures will be added as soon as my son sends them (they are on his camera!) 🙂
